Rachelle obtained a first class honours Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy at University College of Dublin. Rachelle is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and is CORU registered (Reg. No. PT 031004).
Rachelle has obtained experience in hospital based work including pre and post-operative surgery, orthopaedics, neurological conditions, paediatrics, cardio-respiratory and intensive care. She also has experience working with musculoskeletal and sporting injuries in outpatients, private practice and on and off pitch for GAA clubs, UCD juniors and U16 Monaghan ladies.
Being a GAA player for Killanny Ladies, Rachelle has a keen interest in treating and managing sports injuries including muscle strains and ligament sprains. She also has a particular interest in treating lower back and neck pain. She has continued her professional development by completing her dry needling and APPI Matwork level 1 Pilates course.
Rachelle is currently doing a Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science Research Masters in University College of Dublin and Beacon Hospital, Dublin. This research is focused on heart failure patients’ perceptions of using technology for the treatment and management of their condition in the home environment.
